BROOKLYN, NY– All season long, the New York Liberty have been telling us they aren't a superteam. Brian Fluerantin and I have discussed this week after week on the Gotta Get Up Podcast. That hasn't stopped the "superteam" narrative from taking hold.
On June 29, the Las Vegas Aces won the first game of the five matchups against the Liberty –including the 2023 Commissioner's Cup on August 15 – by a score of 98-81in front of a sellout crowd of 11,418 fans in Brooklyn, New York.
In the second match-up, the New York Liberty showed they too can be a dominant team with a 99-61 whooping of the Aces at Barclays Center.
Erica L. Ayala and Brian Fleurantin recap the win for the latest episode of Gotta Get Up: A Podcast for New York Liberty fans.
